Ministry of Education launches call for teachers to enroll in the "Hospital School” program

The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announced the launch of the selection call for teachers to enroll in the National Corps of Teachers for the "Hospital School”, for the 2025-2026 school year. The "Hospital School” program offers students hospitalized for longer periods the opportunity to continue the educational process without interruption, under the guidance of teachers accredited by the Ministry of Education. The selection targets teachers who teach or wish to teach in the hospital environment, covering the subjects included in the Official Centralizer of Pre-university Education. Graduates of pedagogical high school, post-secondary or higher education are eligible, depending on the field of specialization. "The selection for enrollment in the National Corps of Teachers for the "Hospital School' targets teachers who teach or wish to teach in hospitals, fulfilling a series of functions provided for in the methodology", specifies the Ministry of Education. The enrollment process is carried out throughout the calendar year, which offers flexibility to interested teachers. The evaluation is made based on the files, which receive the qualification admitted or rejected, according to the criteria established by the selection committee.

The Ministry announces that the list of admitted or rejected candidates will be published within a maximum of three months from the enrollment, on the official website of the institution, in the "Competitions" section. Teachers who present all the requested documents and complete annexes, according to the methodology in force, are declared admitted.

Through this program, the Ministry of Education continues an initiative with a major social and educational impact: providing access to education to children who, for medical reasons, cannot attend regular classes. Teachers included in the "School in the Hospital" carry out personalized activities, adapted to the health status of the students, thus contributing to maintaining their connection with the educational process and their school reintegration after discharge.
