The Ministry of Health announces that the supply of vaccines from the National Vaccination Program is proceeding according to schedule, and there are currently sufficient stocks for all products included in the national immunization scheme. The institution specifies that the distribution continues without interruption and that it monitors the stock situation daily.
• Almost 70,000 doses of MMR vaccine available
According to the Ministry of Health, approximately 69,000 doses of MMR vaccine (measles-mumps-rubella) are currently available. Of these, approximately 49,000 doses are already in the offices of vaccinating doctors, and the rest are in the stocks of public health departments, quantities considered sufficient to continue immunization without syncope. At the same time, the ministry has asked all public health departments to use the mechanism for redistributing doses between counties whenever differences in consumption or specific situations arise. According to the institution, the procedure allows for the rapid balancing of stocks and ensuring access to vaccination in all areas of the country.
• New deliveries scheduled for the coming period
According to the supply calendar presented by the Ministry of Health, 186,000 doses of the MMR vaccine are to be delivered on July 16. The delivery of 170,000 doses of the hexavalent vaccine is scheduled for the last week of July, and another 170,000 doses of the BCG vaccine will arrive at the end of August. At the same time, deliveries of the tetravalent vaccine, the diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccine (dTdPa), as well as the pneumococcal vaccine are scheduled for August and September.
• Ministry: Vaccination program is ongoing
"There is no reason to worry about the continuity of the National Vaccination Program. Public health departments must use the redistribution mechanism for specific situations. We monitor stocks daily, which are public. Our priority is that every child has access to vaccines from the national scheme, without any interruptions," said the acting Minister of Health, Cseke Attila. The Ministry of Health states that it will continue to permanently monitor stocks and vaccine distribution, so that the immunization process can be carried out safely and continuously.
