The blockade of Hormuz has global consequences

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces is an event with a systemic effect on the global economy, especially on Asia. According to data on the website of the International Energy Agency, the blockade removes approximately 20 million barrels of oil per day from the international circuit, placing the energy security of the major Asian and European economies under direct pressure.
